Disrupting Workplace Bias
Jeff Henderson was once a prime example of explicit and unconscious bias. After being released from federal prison over two decades ago, he struggled to find anyone willing to give him a chance to prove his redemption. Despite developing a talent for the culinary arts while in prison, Henderson faced constant rejection as he tried to show the world his transformation. Fortunately, a few bold and visionary corporate leaders gave him the opportunity to pursue his dream. He became the first African American chef at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, followed by positions at the Hard Rock Hotel and the world-renowned Bellagio Resort and Casino. Jeff Henderson has been on an upward trajectory ever since.
